Some of the greatest challenges in dealing with migraine disease is its complexity—the massive amount of new information available (both evidence-based and opinion), and the lack of headache specialists to help people with migraine successfully manage this condition.
Migraine Meanderings has created the following resources in an effort to provide current, accurate information, and offer support and connection for the migraine community.
Migraine is a complex, neurological disease that presents itself on a wide spectrum of symptoms, attack triggers, severity, and response to treatments. Sadly, it is often misdiagnosed, undertreated, and highly stigmatized despite being in the top ten most disabling diseases worldwide.
At Migraine Meanderings, we believe that an informed patient is an empowered patient. As we learn more about the disease we live with, so we are better able to partner with our doctors, advocate for ourselves, and discover that the pain doesn't need to go to waste.
In Migraine 101 we talk about some of the different types of headache disorders, different types of migraine, causes, symptoms, triggers, and treatment options.
