I was given an Allay Lamp as a gift, and when I received it and opened it I was surprised by the size of it. It was a happy surprise! I had imagined it to be bigger but it is the perfect size for a table or desk. And it looks great too. I am also one that likes simplicity and this is one of the easiest products to set up and use. Yet it does everything you need to do without a lot of unneeded things. I also love that it is rechargeable rather than battery operated. To turn it on you simply lay your hand on the top. You can also easily dim the light. One side will illuminate green and you can turn it over and have a soft regular light.
I have been using the green light regularly for some time in the evenings, usually for an hour or two before I go to bed. I usually use it while reading. And then I often just spend some time relaxing. I appreciate that I can adjust the brightness as needed each time I use it. I find the green light from the Allay Lamp to be quite soothing. I am very light sensitive so I am hoping this will eventually will with that too as I use it longer. So if you have thought about purchasing the Allay Lamp or you are wanting to try some thing to soothe you, even during a migraine attack, then I highly recommend you get one. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

I have had the original Allay Lamp for a while and love it, so I wanted to try the Desk Light also to see what it was like. It fits neatly on my desk or bedside table and I love all the features it offers!
- The top "arm" is adjustable and can be swung up or down to whatever angle works best for you.
- There is an option of either green or white light, simply by pushing the button.
- By "long-pushing" the button you can dim the light to whatever level works best for you, and then long-push it again to increase the light level.
I have very severe light sensitivity, not only during an attack but at other times as well, and this light is incredibly soothing to my eyes - I can immediately feel them relax when I turn it on. All in all, I think this is a great device for people with migraine!
